Project Description
The subject site is located in a strategic position with close proximity to the beach, Cronulla Plaza and train station. The proposed will be new gateway to one of Sutherland shire’s most popular precincts. It enjoys 3 street frontages and interface to high density residential along Northern Boundary. The proposal responds to the emerging future urban character and seeks to enhance the public domain areas at ground level with greater setbacks to increase the footpath widths and allow for larger tree canopies and improve the street character. A hotel for 240 rooms is proposed within the 40m high tower and the residential with in a 63m high tower containing 168 apartments strategically positioned to minimize shadow impact to the street. The proposed density and increase in non-residential uses will provide a major economic boost to the local area and mark Cronulla as an international beach and lifestyle destination. The proposal will be a focal point at end of the Cronulla Plaza and will provide Businesses and Urban living in close proximity, to the beaches, services and public transport.
